Al-Mujeeb, The Responsive

In more than one verse, Allah promises to respond to our supplications (so long as it is not a supplication of sin or severing blood ties). The prophets never hesitated to request from Allah, and so they did by pouring out their hearts.
Zakariya (alaihis salaam) prayed to Allah for an heir. Zakariya was old, at an age that naturally, he wouldn't be able to have a child. But he still requested. He explained his plight to his Lord (though he was fully aware that Allah did know his condition), he poured his heart out in seclusion and begged Allah for aid.

"He said, 'My Lord! indeed my bones have grown feeble, and grey hair has spread on my head, And I have never been unblest in my invocation to You, O my Lord! And verily, I fear my relatives after me, and my wife is barren. So give me from Yourself an heir. Who shall inherit me, and inherit the posterity of Yaqub and make him, my Lord, one with whim You are Well-Pleased!" {Q19:4-6}

Rajab; The Month of Allah

All praise is for the ONE who has spared our lives to see this day. We acknowledge HIS favor and we acknowledge our incapacity and ALL praise is for HIM.

We have entered into the month of Rajab, the first of the three of great virtue. The month of Allah.

Hassan Al Basri (Rahimahullah) mentioned in his Jami saghir that the prophet (alaihis salaatu was salaam) said,

"Rajab is the month of Allah. Sha'ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah."

Rajab is one of the four sacred months of the year. Along with Muharram, Dhul Qa'ida and Dhul Hijjah, it is a month in which transgression and sin is worse than at other times. Allah says,
